So what happens when a date you had planned coincides with a conference call? The first step is not to panic. Calmly explain to your partner that you are an extremely important business professional and ask if they would mind if you took some time out of the date to make the call. They will more often than not be impressed that you are employed, and it can even be a great way for them to learn about your business.
After the call is complete, ask your date to give an assessment of how you did. Were you too aggressive? What could have been done better? This will make them feel more involved, despite the multitasking taking place. When people are in relationships, they must work together to make it stable.
